MONDAY 30/6/08

Today was our second chance for the presentation.
Personally, i am really grateful Mr Ronald gave our group another chance for the presentation.

We did well, the collateral, posters, mood boards, ppt, Dvd, Dvd covers and animatics were all ready. Basically all that was needed was there.  We really spitted the work well and every one did our part.
Although at the last minute we couldn't find our folder and started panicking, we carried on with the ppt, as we have already back up by  including the images in the ppt.
Eventually, Greg found our folder in the print shop. thank you greg! ((:

We all were really glad when we heard Mr Ronald say "This is what I'm looking for".
The sentence really made us all smile and we were relieved that our hard work was not wasted.

Most importantly, we all as a group realized something important.
We learnt that it is not all about grades but more about what we've learnt doing the project. We know that its these lessons that will help us in the long run.

I feel that prioritizing the work is very very important. We have to learn to see what is more important and requires more area of focus before allocating time to the work. In addition,i've realized that in the real industry, we must never let the client have a chance to put us down. We must always be fully prepared and always have a backup and test out before any presentation.

In conclusion, I'm really grateful for this module because i know i've learnt a great deal from it. It is beyond marks but about team work, learning to prioritize and what to expect from clients. It is really useful for future and is definitely a step to prepare us for future project works and the industry.

Once again, thank you Mr Ronald for the second chance. I am glad our groups' hard work paid off, good job all! ((:

WED 25/6/08

Today's the day for submission and presentation.
So, basically, it was quite rush for us. We were rushing the animatics in the morning and then after it was done, we did the mood boards and Jem rushed the CD cover.
Everything was quite done up but we didnt have the time for audio and we thought it would be alright.
We went for presentation, we were the last group to present. And apparently, audio was really important and we forgot to present our collaterals and story boards. And so we failed. But, Mr Ronald gave us a chance. We are really grateful for it and promised as a group to put in our best for Monday's presentation.

Yes, we put in a lot of hard work for the presentation today although nothing went well. We were too anxious that we forgot about the presentation of the Packaging and story boards. Well, at least we were given a chance and our hard work was not wasted.

After presentation, we gathered and analyse what went wrong. We all agreed that we put too much effort into animatics and neglected the other areas that were equally important. We told ourselves of the importance of prioritizing and to do what was required first.

So, we split the works accordingly this time round. Jake will review the whole animatics and edit if it has to be. Then, jem will do the coloring of the storyboard. Mal will do the ppt and also the audio. While Jen and I will work on the collaterals - the name cards, posters and Cd cover.

Hopefully everything will goes well, we will put in our very best!

TUESDAY 24/6/08

Today is our last day for the last preparation.

We went to Jakes' place again to finish up the last few bits. Jake continued working on the frames and shading of character while we touch up the last few bit of background and start discussing on packaging. Mal joins us again so it's full strength again! She worked on the presentation and she and Jen has already completed the search for all the audios. Good job!

So, we stayed till 11 plus as we all needed rest and so Jem will be working on packaging when he gets back. Me and Jen will work on the backgrounds again and send to Jake through msn for him to work on.

MONDAY 23/6/08

So, we went for class in the morning today and then we left for Jems' place to start working on our work.

We continued to work on the background of the storyboards and Jake on the characters and the shading toning and all. We were trying our best to finish it all so Jake can start on the animatics while we can start on packaging and anything else.

Mal joined us tonight to finish up her audio parts while Jen was editing the background at home. It was great to see the whole group working and hoping to see everything goes well.

SUNDAY 22/6/08

Today, we stayed over at Jakes place, to finish up the scenes that have to be drawn. We split the tasks and Jem and I was assigned to finish the backgrounds of the storyboards.

We were all trying to figure out the best way to do up the background and we tried different methods.
But, there was always some problems here or there.
Until, Jen found out the best way! And then, we all could do it quick, fast and good! So, we all stayed to quite late to do our work, to finish up the backgrounds while Jake does the shading and all.

Good job people! ((:

SATURDAY 21/6/08

We came back to school today, for Apel.

At the same time, we finished up the photo taking for our story board reference since we were still short of the last few frames.
We finished the photo taking quite fast mainly because every one was already very tire and then we sat down to decide the task each had to do. In addition, we will have the photos collated tonight before we start the actual drawing and all.

So, tomorrow will be the day when we all start working and putting in our best. We will be staying over at jakes place, to complete the drawing for story boards so we can start on our animatics as soon as possible.

Friday 20/6/08

Today, we looked through all of our storyboards, to decide on which frames we might want to do.
Also, we had the story line settled.

Then, we went for shooting on various scenes so as to use them for references for the drawing of our storyboard.
